Semiconductor technology

Semiconductor is material in which the electrical and optical properties can be tailored efficiently for example by doping. This way, for example their conductivity can be easily tailored to be suitable for a particular electical component. In addition to doping, semiconductor properties can be modified by thermal treatment, chemical treatments or other semiconductor processing methods.

Examples of semiconductor components:
