Information technology

Although the history of information technology is short, the development in the field has been extremely rapid. It was as recently as 1980's that personal computers were introduced on the market. However, in a bit more than twenty years, the personal computer has established its position as foundation of the modern society. Information technology is applied to a wide variety of fields from television engineering to electronic appliances. Microprocessors have become ordinary and fixed elements of our daily lives.
