Surveillance and defence against piracy
You can protect your trademark from counterfeits, piracy and other infringements with industrial property rights. We defend and assert our clients' rights in infringement cases, and make sure that local customs offices in different countries are active in monitoring possible infringements of our clients’ property rights.
Direct representation in Europe, Russia and Eurasia
Counterfeits are more and more common on the market, and they constitute a huge problem, both on a national and international scale. The role of a local attorney is essential in protecting a trademark and combatting piracy and counterfeits. Our attorneys in Finland, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan defend our clients’ rights in each of these areas.
Our services include:
- general customs surveillance applications
- conciliation and agreements
- reporting potential counterfeits directly to the client
- investigation and seizure requests
- professional statements.
We operate actively against piracy
Our office is one of the founding members of the Finnish Anti-Counterfeiting Group. We are involved, in the role of an IPR specialist, in developing and enhancing the St. Petersburg intellectual property rights system in an IPR St. Petersburg cooperation project coordinated by the Baltic Institute of Finland. The project encompasses for example designing and implementing an anti-piracy campaign.
