We at Papula-Nevinpat act responsibly, legally and in line with our company’s ethical values. We value each other and our customers as people, employees, and professionals. The Whistleblower Act (1171/2022) based on the EU Whistleblower Directive obliges companies and organizations to provide a reliable channel for reporting suspected misconduct. The Act requires organizations employing 50 or more people to set up a channel enabling people to make notifications of any misconduct or malpractice within the organization. Through this channel, the organization can also report back to the whistleblower what actions have been taken to resolve the issue.

Papula-Nevinpat has now implemented a confidential Notification Channel service offered by the Finland Chamber of Commerce for our staff and stakeholders to be able to safely report any misconduct they may have observed. You can use the channel if you suspect that a crime or misconduct or other activities that violate our values have occurred in our company.

How do I make a notification?

Please discuss any malpractice primarily with your line manager, HR or the person in charge of the matter within our company. Through the Notification Channel, you can report suspected violations of laws or rules, which, according to the Whistleblower Act, may concern:

  • protection of privacy and personal data
  • security of network and information systems
  • environmental protection
  • public health
  • consumer protection
  • public procurement
  • financial services, products and markets
  • prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing
  • product safety and compliance

If you wish, you can make a notification through the Notification Channel completely anonymously and discuss anonymously with the person handling your notification.

How will my notification be processed?

All notifications will be handled confidentially and in a proper way. In all cases, we will protect the confidentiality of the identity of the whistleblower, the person concerned and any other parties referred to in the notification.

Only authorized persons will have access to the information in the notification and we will not disclose your personal data to third parties without your consent. In addition, other specialists may be consulted to ensure proper treatment of the matter.

When will I get a response?

The persons authorized to handle the notifications in our company can ask you to provide more information about your notification through the Notification Channel. They will also respond to you through the channel within three months, reporting what action, if any, will be taken on your notification. Make sure to save the code you receive after submitting the notification, so you can later log in and communicate with the persons handling your notification.

Protection of the whistleblower’s identity

We have set up the Notification Channel with an impartial, external partner, the Finland Chamber of Commerce, to make sure that the whistleblower’s anonymity will be protected. The Finland Chamber of Commerce offers the technical implementation of the service and will not receive the notifications.

The notifications submitted through the channel will be received and treated confidentially by persons authorized to process these reports within the company. Only the authorized persons will have access to the notifications.

You can always make the notification anonymously. The persons receiving the notification will not have access to any metadata or IP address that could enable the whistleblower to be identified. All notifications are encrypted at the time of creation with a strong symmetric- and asymmetric-key encryption algorithm that cannot be decrypted or modified afterwards. The persons processing the notifications can only see the time and content of the notification.

The whistleblower may leave their name and contact details with the notification if they wish. Only the authorized persons will have access to the information given in the notification and we will not disclose your personal data to third parties without your explicit consent, unless proper processing of the notification requires such disclosure to officials or other similar measures.

Please do not include sensitive personal data in the notification unless it is necessary in order to describe the matter or for processing the notification.
