Six Papula-Nevinpat patent attorneys identified as top patent practitioners in Finland

Papula-Nevinpat has once again been ranked as one of the leading patent firms in Finland in the 2022 edition of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals – in the patent prosecution category.

According to the publication, ‘One of the most prominent patent attorney firms in Finland, Papula-Nevinpat is consistently highlighted by peers for the depth of its expertise, the efficiency with which it works and the robust technical support it provides in litigation proceedings.’

The publication stated the following about our managing director Markku Simmelvuo: ‘At the helm, managing director Markku Simmelvuo combines over two decades of experience and a finely cultivated international network to deftly navigate Eurasian patent offices. He also contributes widely to the development of Finnish IP practice through his activity in several industry associations.’

Further, the IAM Patent 1000 has recognized our patent department’s director Folke Johansson and European patent attorney Matti Brax: ‘For prosecution and technical support in litigation, especially in the telecommunications industry, Folke Johansson and Matti Brax are the absolute go-to. They are incredibly smart, customer-oriented and dive deep into the details and propose excellent and out-of-the-box solutions as a result.’

The publication also highlights our ICT and electrical engineering team leader Tomi Konkonen and European patent attorney Satu Lehesranta: ‘ICT and software instructions are executed with finesse by ex-Nokia patent attorney Tomi Konkonen, “whose work quality is consistently top-notch”. ‘The first choice for pharmaceuticals, Satu Lehesranta is simply brilliant. She excels at explaining complex technical matters in a way that is easy for lawyers to understand and is super pleasant to work with. Overall, a true leader in the field.’

For the first time joining this guide this year is our chemistry and process technology team leader Linda Norrgård: ‘a superb patent attorney and rising star on the market. A chemistry and process technology expert, she ably assists her patrons across all patenting stages.’

We thank all of our clients and colleagues for all the work we have done together to achieve these recognitions.
