Registration of domain names in Cyrillic alphabet started in Russia

26.11.2009
From 25 November 2009, trademark owners are able to register domain names in Cyrillic alphabet. Owners of the equivalent .ru domains may apply a priority period that starts from this date and lasts up to 25 March 2010. After this, the domain names that are still available are free for registration to anyone.

We strongly suggest that you register your domain name in Russia in both Roman and Cyrillic alphabet.
