The history of information technology might be short, but progress in the field has been immense. It was just in 1980s that personal computers were introduced on the market, but in a bit more than twenty years the personal computer has established its central place in the modern society. Information technology includes a wide range of applications from television engineering to electronic appliances. Microprocessors have become ordinary and essential elements in our daily lives.
